IGP 10th Anniversary: Lebanon week
Institute for Global Prosperity
Join us for a week of Lebanon-themed events in London to recognise the significant work of the IGP’s Prosperity Co-Laboratory for Lebanon (PROCOL Lebanon) initiative, which is a collaborative network of academics, citizens, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders interested in improving quality of life in Lebanon.
Dates: 18 - 22 March 2024
The theme of the week is ‘The politics of decolonial investigations and the ethics of solidarity’ and will bring together academics, thinkers, citizen scientists and innovators to explore the kinds of ethical forms of knowledge production and social solidarity that must drive action towards better social, economic and environmental futures, that challenge colonial structures of domination and global epistemic injustice.
We will also be discussing the key challenges and opportunities for developing a Green New Deal for Lebanon and the MENA region. The imminent threats of climate change call for a swift and comprehensive approach that combines sustainable economic development, decolonial politics, and ecological responsibility for a more equitable and resilient future for the region.
