 About our speakers 

Opening Remarks

Arthur Kay is an entrepreneur and urban designer. He founded Skyroom, Fast Forward 2030, Key Worker Homes Fund, and previously founded bio-bean. He is an Entrepreneur in Residence at UCL Institute for Global Prosperity and a Visiting Lecturer in technology, entrepreneurship, and design at UCL and Imperial College London. Arthur is a recognised Sustainable Development Goals Pioneer and Sustainable Business Leader. He has been featured in MIT Technology Review, Forbes, and numerous publications.

Moderator

Zubair Junjunia is determined to revolutionize the world of education and ensure that every student has equal opportunities. He has accomplished this by creating the online learning platform ZNotes, a youth-led online learning platform for students, positively impacting over four million students globally. Zubair's contributions to SDG4 have earned him numerous prestigious awards, including the Diana Legacy Award. He actively participates in education and youth-focused organizations such as the Global Partnership for Education and the Digital Education Futures Initiative.

Panel

Mark Anderson worked for 22 years in two stints for Pearson plc, latterly as UK Managing Director. He was also responsible for the launch of the Pearson Test of English. Since 2016 he has had a portfolio career including chairing London Metropolitan University (2016-2022) and becoming a fellow of Hughes Hall Cambridge. He was chair of BibliU in London and Squla in Amsterdam and a director of Higher Education Partnerships (2017-21) and now chairs Macat and Edify. He is also an advisor to ZNotes, Knowdl, School Guide and Lynx Educate. He has in addition worked extensively as a consultant including for Pearson itself, OUP, Cambridge English, Said Business School and City & Guilds. He is the author of The Leadership Book (FT Press, 2e 2013).
